Kottler has more than twenty-two years of legal experience and has litigated all aspects of Family Law including divorce, alimony and child support. He advocates for his clients and is experienced in complex disputes including the commingling of separate and community assets, business division, division of retirement and pensions, ownership of life insurance and annuities, and maintaining health coverage post divorce. Attorney Kottler currently sits as an alternate Judge in Family Court hearing Domestic Violence Matters and also Small Claims Matters. He is a strong advocate for children and was asked by Family Court to assist with abuse and neglect cases where children are victims. He also serves as an advisor to the Foster Parent and Adoption Association and is a past Family Court Judicial Candidate.
Ethan has traveled extensively around the world, meeting people and eating exotic foods. “Every day is a new adventure,” he likes to say. That is why Ethan enjoys Family Law. “Everyone’s story is unique. I make sure the judges get to know my clients and their specific legal concerns.” Ethan began his legal career in New Orleans, Louisiana where his love of the outdoors led to his representation of communities in environmental disputes. Ethan and his wife relocated to Nevada in 1995 where she is now a Chief Prosecutor for the State of Nevada. Ethan clerked for the Presiding Family Judge of Clark County, and he then entered private practice. Attorney Ethan Kottler expanded his practice to include Guardianship and Estate work, Personal Injury, and General Litigation. Ethan ran his own law office for ten years before joining forces with Lee Drizin. “With my Family Law background and Lee’s expanding practice, it is a perfect fit”.
Attorney Ethan Kottler graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a business degree. He received his law degree from Tulane University graduating with honors.
