Always up for an adventure or something new, Ethan has travelled extensively around the world, meeting people and eating exotic foods. He once ordered a meal simply because no one knew what it was. The travel slowed down a little when Ethan relocated to Nevada and started a family, but the adventures kept coming. “Every day is a new adventure,” he likes to say. That is why Ethan enjoys Family Law. “Everyone’s story is a little different. I make sure the judges get to know my clients and their unique needs.”
Ethan began his legal career in New Orleans, Louisiana where his love of the outdoors led to his representation of communities in environmental disputes. Ethan and his wife relocated to Nevada in 1995 where she is now a Chief Prosecutor for the State of Nevada. Ethan pursued a career concentrating in Family Law. Ethan clerked for the Presiding Family Judge of Clark County, and he then entered private practice. Attorney Ethan Kottler expanded his practice to include Guardianship and Estate work, Personal Injury, and General Litigation. Ethan ran his own law office for ten years before joining forces with Lee Drizin. “With my Family Law background, and Lee’s expanding practice, it is a perfect fit”.
Attorney Ethan Kottler currently sits as an alternate Judge in Family Court hearing Domestic Violence Matters and also Small Claims Matters. An advocate for children, Ethan was asked by Family Court to assist with abuse and neglect cases where children are victims. He also serves as an advisor to the Foster Parent and Adoption Association and is a past Family Court Judicial Candidate.
Ethan continues to get involved in the community. He is a member of the Las Vegas Rotary Club where he performs charity work, helps children in underperforming schools, and takes on various other causes. He also sits on the board of directors of the Shrine Foundation which raises funds for families of deployed military.
